BrandingLogo & Theme

AWeber

When I came to AWeber the first thing I noticed was their lackluster logo. It was very dated and used a pretty odd color combination.

So when the chance to redesign the logo arose, I jumped on it. Even though I didn't like the old logo, I wanted to call back to it in some way, that is where the widget/icon on the left comes from.

I wanted the logo to be fairly simple and something that could be reproduced easily and for various applications.

Web Design Public Site

AWeber

When I first came to AWeber the company was already in the midst of a redesign of their public site. I had to pick up the pieces of a project that was already half way done

Getting the chance to actually redesign the site from the ground up was a huge up hill battle. My team and I felt we could represent the service in a much better light.

After researching trends and traffic on the site we came up with a plan that not only highlighted our service but made it more accessible to potential customers.

Web Design Feature Pages

AWeber

The feature pages is where the bulk of the work went into. While email marketing isn't rocket science it can be confusing to someone who doesn't live on the internet.

We had to come up with ways to visual convey what AWeber does. We knew that just showing screenshots of our application wouldn't get the point across. We had to use real world simple representations of what we do.

uiLogin Page

AWeber

We noticed that we had a large number of non customers constantly visiting our customer login page. Once there they'd either leave the page or navigate around the site looking for information about the service.

This was an amazing opportunity for us to craft user experience that would be beneficial for both current customers and potential prospects.

We combined informat that both current and potential customers would find useful. We highlighted new features, new templates, deals on our service and a little social proof juice with Twitter & Facebook.

ui Customer Dashboard

AWeber

The customer dashboard has part of AWeber almost as long as the service has been around. It's a quick way for a customer to get an overview of how their campaign is doing.

While it's definitely a helpful tool, new customers can find it intimidating. Over the years we've gone through a few iterations. More recently we've simplified how many numbers we throw at the customer and we've added a progress bar.

The progress bar shows customers how complete their campaign / list is. When we first launched this tool, we saw list completion rates go through the roof!

ui List Settings

AWeber

List settings is another section that is fairly old and one that is sometime cumbersome to new customers. Over the years we've refined this page to simply the setup process.

Combining pertinent information and items that are similar to make getting our customers information a much quicker and easier experience.

ui Webform Builder

AWeber

The Webform Builder was a huge project and at the time was the first of it's kind. A truly dynamic and unbreakable tool for customers to collect subscribers.

Not only did we make the most flexible webform builder but we also revolutionized the idea of webform Templates. Offering customers a wide array of custom designs that we built upon every week!

Not only did we offer templates but my team and I made the editor flexible enough that anyone could build a simple and easy template to match their site.

Print Post Cards

AWeber

In an effort to go the extra mile with customers, we would send them personalized hand written post cards. We wanted the post cards to be fun and something a customer would be excited to get in the mail.

In our recent round of designs we went with a 3D lego theme, we think it's something really cool that a customer would be less likely to throw away when they get it in the mail.

Print Posters

AWeber

We've had various company gatherings at AWeber, I saw that as an opportunity to not only create some cool art for the office, but to stretch my design wings a bit.

Each poster has been completely different from the one before it. This project was such a success that we've framed each one and have them on display in the office.

Graphic Design Avatars

AWeber

These lil' guys are our AWeber Avatars. We have a wide range of customers and we wanted a fun and awesome way to represent that within our service.

I ended up coming up with these guys to not only represent ourselves and our customers but as personalities within the service.

I've use them for educational purposes, blog articles, signage around, employee hand books and in materials we mail to new customers.

Graphic Design Icons

AWeber

While at AWeber I've developed quite an arsenal of reusable icons that have become immensely helpful for day to designing.

I've used these for just about everything I do at AWeber. They've been in posters, videos, blog posts, printed materials, you name it!
